Even though I do not have any children of my own, I love children because of their untainted view of the world and unconditional love. Therefore, every year I participate in the March of Dimes run. The goal of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and other infant-related health issues. For those of you who know me personally, you know that I love to travel. Earlier this year I was invited to attend a "celebration" for a mutual friend of mine who is getting married this summer. Aside from taking a well deserved break from work and having tons of fun, I also learned a lot from this trip. One of the most important lessons I learned is that surrounding myself with those that are "on my level" is a must. When I say "on my level" I don't mean it in the way that says that I'm better than anyone else. I'm simply just saying that I must continue to surround myself with people who are career driven, financially responsible, and unreasonably happy. Remember happiness is contagious, and that is one sickness that I don't mind continually catching!
